Born native to the Pacific Northwest in Seattle, WA. Darrick Oyer-Weir adopted the name Anamosity and began rapping after the controversial death of favorite rapper Tupac Shakur in 1996. In 2001 Anamosity was released from a 15 month incarceration stint, when he met Alan "Sarkastik" Wright. Anamosity would later become his hype man under Street Level Records and Wiseworks Management never releasing any material. However in 2005 anamosity would link up with Flatline aka Tony Mafia from Chicago's group "Dinner Thieves" releasing their Dark Street EP. In 2008 Anamosity released a 6 man group project called The Crew - You Know Who It Is...In 2010 Anamosity started his own label called Heavy Grind Entertainment and clothing line called Heavy Grind Apparel. Since then Anamosity has released 10 solo albums, 3 group albums, as well as a ton of features and collaborations, and produced projects for various artists from WA to CA. Anamosity also produces beats and is a graphic designer.
