Ian Koromah, aka Maxsta grew up surrounded Grime pioneers such as Wiley and Roll Deep. He wears those formative years proudly, like a badge of honour: the years in which he embarked on a journey, relocating from his native South London, to East London, with aspirations to be a grime MC in the vein of his personal favourites - Dizzee Rascal, Kano, and of course the Godfather himself, Wiley. 2018 saw Maxsta's triumphant return with The Maxtape 2 which amassed over 2 Million streams and featured Jme and Inch (Smoke Boys). This was made all the more special by the fact that Maxsta produced every track on the project. Since then he has built this production catalogue with the 'On the Buttons' Instrumental EP release on No Hats No Hoods Records and Manga Saint Hilare anthem 'Fear No One' which has seen him lauded as a producer to watch by DJ Mag. Last years Electric 001 EP saw him featuring alongside a host of Grime favourites and emerging talents including SBK, Tommy B, Yizzy, Manga Saint Hilare, and PK. Earlier this year he featured on Homebase's new advert adding another string to his bow. He's opened his account for this year in fine form with 'Locked In' an X-Rated tale of late night escapades with girls locked in to Maxsta's vibe and aura. Lastly he was recently selected by PRS for Music for their prestigious Momentum Fund for his forthcoming project the Maxtape 3 work
