Kid Shooty is a rapper born and raised in the DMV. Growing up on boom-bap and thought-provoking lyrics, he fell in love with the culture and loves nothing more. A lyricist himself, he sees the art of hip-hop as "battle poetry" and crafts his verses accordingly. He incorporates slight comedic elements into his rhymes and music videos. He strives to be well-rounded, keeps the listener/viewer on their toes and engaged throughout it all. Inspired by many different sounds, it's hard for him to name a central influence; rather, he credits The Notorious B.I.G, Mac Miller, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, The Flatbush Zombies and BROCKHAMPTON as some of his most influential artists in the industry. His mentality is never to beef with others/other artists. Kid Shooty prefers to kick back, kick raps and live the life he wants to live. His truth and life experiences reveal themselves in his music. There’s no need to fabricate what he's been through. Kid Shooty was forced to mature young, he has had plenty to speak on and share with the world in a creative way. Yet to put out his debut album, Kid Shooty is striving to master his craft each and every day and drop many more songs!
