Khadijah Davis a.k.a KD was born in Milwaukee, WI and moved to Champaign, IL at the young age of 2. Born into a singing family, with her mother leading her own singing group, father being a musician himself, and grandmother creating a famous quartet group called the Independent Gospelletes, KD learned at a very young age that she could sing. From school talent shows, harmonizing and singing with all her talented cousins, aunts and family, while also serving as president for a gospel choir called “Voices in Praise” in college, she knew that music came to her naturally. A few weeks shy of her 16th birthday, KD gave birth to her only son, Percy, who is the main motivation for making sure she achieves her goals. KD never believed she would be fulfilling her life’s calling, but now fiercely, humbly yet effortlessly shows her gift to the world.
