Shamir Sharreiff Younger (born June 8th 1999) better known as, Lil Mouse, born and raised on the Southside of Chicago began his rap career at the early age of 12 being introduced by his older brothers as they made their own songs growing up. By the age of 13, Mouse made a hit single, “Get Smoked,” which took off on the internet and later remixed by Lil Wayne on his mixtape titled, “Dedication 4” which became a pivotal point of his career. Throughout his career, Mouse was heavily criticized because of the profanity, sexual, and violent language portrayed in his lyrics. Despite the backlash he received, he was proudly embraced by many artists through collaborating on songs with artists such as Lil Wayne, Young Scooter, Lil Durk and more. Although Mouse reached a great deal of fame and success at an early age, he still could not always escape the reality of growing up in Chicago neighborhoods saturated with gangs and violence. In 2017, Mouse was shot on the southside of Chicago which inspired him to go even harder with his music career. Mouse feels his music resonates the most with people who have been through similar things he has been through with the hopes they want to change and do better like he is doing and continues to do. Mouse currently resides in Atlanta, GA and is now signed to Solid Ground Music which he has recently released a new single titled, “Judge Me,” which is available on all music platforms including YouTube.
