His debut album The Open Book Experience is a deeply personal account of his life’s challenges and observations. His melodic, relaxed throwback style touched on mental health, depression, anxiety and the strength and support needed to overcome these challenges. After a brief performance hiatus spent producing and writing for other artists, Chu had begun releasing his sophomore project – The Prefix – individually as singles. The Prefix widens his range and shows a sneak peek into the lighter side of Chu. This EP is a culmination of collaboration, including appearances from Anthony President (whose credits include Pink, Master P & Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony), Brainz (Jamie Foxx, 3LW & PYT) and Doron Bell (Beenie Man, Wayne Wonder and Lady Saw).
