"KERO" is Trey Rodman, an electronic music producer and pianist from Virginia Beach. The 23-year old has crafted a unique style of melodic bass music that has earned him DJ support from artists such as Tokyo Machine, Au5, Chime, Virtual Riot, and many others. Trey grew up as a classically-trained pianist from a young age, and frequent composer of classical and contemporary music. This journey took him to Boston where he eventually discovered a passion for music production and video game music composition. Trey frequently combines his years of musical influences in his work, blending elements of future bass, heavy-hitting dubstep, jazz, video game & film scores, and whatever else he is inspired by. Since launching KERO in late 2020, he has released on many labels including Reinelex, Circus Electric, and Chime's Rushdown Recordings, where he released the Ecosystem EP in July of 2022, his debut EP. In a very short time, Trey has crafted an extremely recognizable sound within the color bass sub-genre focused on combining his years of musical experience with the heavy energy of modern dubstep. Alongside his solo releases, Trey frequently collaborates with long-time friend DNAKM for vocal features and songwriting, and fellow Rushdown roster member Convexity for a more jazz-infused dubstep blend. 2023 has already proven to be a big year for KERO. In April alone, Trey debuted on Circus Electric and has opened for Chime and Skybreak on the Aetherborne tour.
