Jason Charm (b. March 25, 1996) is an American-Canadian recording artist and producer. Growing up between Detroit, Michigan and Toronto, Ontario he was introduced to an array of sounds from a young age. Charm began rapping at the age of 5 in Detroit going on to release multiple mixtapes throughout the mid 2000's under the pseudonym "Pricez". In 2010 Charm would re-introduce himself as"Dre Price Jeremy" and release his debut mixtape "The Life & Times Of Nate Detroit" in 2013 and a follow up in 2016 to universal acclaim from the underground Scarborough hip-hop community. It was around this time that Charm took a 3 year break from rapping began producing under the Alias "John Tabour" being heavily influenced by the likes of J. Dilla, Kanye West, Ta-Ku, Vanilla & others Charm quickly developed a signature sound which revolved around the use of old soul and jazz samples with very stripped down drums. After awhile Charm dropped the "Tabour" from his producer alias opting instead to be known as "John Great" as his sound evolved into a mixture of old & new samples, heavy chopping or lo-fi loops. Returning to rap in 2019 Charm released the 10 minute suite "Unfinished Music No.4: God Help Us" exclusively on Soundcloud in the summer of 2019 and a follow up in September in the guitar driven Alternative single "Sky Lines". Charm is slated to release his latest song Love // Hope on July 31st 2020 and his debut EP near the end of the summer.
