Biography

As a teenager, he hitchhiked across Europe, from Amsterdam to Corinth. All he had was a metal-framed backpack, containing forty cassettes of his favourite music, a couple of Kerouac and Ginsberg books. Many years have passed since then, he worked in record stores, as resident dj in clubs, played on the radio, was a publisher, worked on various music projects, practically one activity in the music industry led to another. Initially, as a member of Vono Box, they released own tracks on various compilations and created remixes for Dusty (Jazz&Milk), Flevans (Tru Thoughts) and Erik Sumo (Pulver). Later, together with Savages, they released maxis and albums under several names (Savages y Suefo, The Worldstylers, Sannan) on labels such as UrbanWorld, Agogo, or Timewarp. Meanwhile, he tried to stay out of the squirrel wheel. He hasn't had a daily job in twenty years, he doesn't even work in a record store anymore, only the performances, the weekly radio show on Hungary's best radio station (Tilos) and his own label (Mana Mana Records), which he manages together with Savages, fills his time. Now behind a new alter ego, as Tripcat, he wants to bring back even more of that early hitchhiking freedom flash into music. The new stage name also refers to this. Just eating the kilometers without a specific goal, enjoying the scenery, open to new experiences. What could fit a trip like this better than instrumental hip-hop mixed with exotica?
