Newport, AR native Stephen Neal (aka Poetry Amaru) is an up-and-coming artist (rapper/singer), poet, and motivational leader. Making his debut in November 2018, as a feature in the song “Hard Times” by Nino Fresco, while also dropping his first single “Cold World Story”. 
 Growing up in the projects, amongst violence, mild poverty, drugs, and etc. made life hard and forced Stephen to grow up early. The struggles he encountered with his 4 sisters, hardships of his parents, and other family brought forth an “Old Soul” embedded inside of him. The growth from that struggle is the reason Poetry often use a Rose in his poems (via social media) or wear a rose representing beauty and growth. 
 Inspired by the late 2Pac since 3-years-old, he has taken on a flow of versatility that challenges real world problems with lyrics such as “corrupting the future and killing over a bag, Genocide”, as heard in “Hard Times”. The song touch on some of the struggles faced in project life/ghetto and thoughts of those who endure, translating to a wider audience. Networks such as Instagram show glimpses of his powerful-melodic, chilling/soulful singing voice with unique range, that promise quality RnB in the future. 
 Stephen found motivation to be all he can be, besides his parents, through some family and childhood friends/brothers Grizz and Nino Fresco. 2Pac inspired his passion/intensity to be real through his life/lyrics and it was Lloyd who inspired the RnB genre in him at the age of 12.
