Born and raised in Johannesburg, Babymac was destined for a life in music. An avid drummer and instrumentalist in his formative years, music was always a part of his life. He would not find his true calling until he was 13 years old. At 13 he produced and wrote his first project at the SABC studios in Johannesburg and that is when a fire was started. He has gone on to emerge himself into the music industry spending many years learning from some of the finest Hip Hop artists and producers in South Africa as well as their managers and teams. This culminated in the establishment of his own label Maweezy Music. He is due to release his first professional project, “Welcome to Babymac’s Show” in 2024.
