Alfredo Teixeira holds a PhD in Political Anthropology (ISCTE-IUL) and a Master's in Systematic Theology (FT-UCP). He is currently teaching and researching at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Theology. Besides his academic activity, he developed a recognized and awarded musical creation activity. She studied music at the Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional, in the organ class of Simões da Hora, accompanied by singing studies with Manuela de Sá, chamber music with Fernando Eldoro, composition with Jorge Peixinho and Eurico Carrapatoso. In addition, she attended the International Choral Conducting Course of the Orfeo Lleidatà, under the guidance of Lászlo Heltay. In 1998, the Lopes Graça Composition Prize, promoted by Tomar City Hall, awarded an Honorable Mention to his work "Fragmentos para um De Profundis." His work for children's choir and piano, "O Menino Jesus numa estória aos quadradinhos", won the 2013 edition of the Fernando Lopes Graça International Composition Prize (Museu da Música Portuguesa - Câmara Municipal de Cascais).
