Crimson Brooks was created by Maria (vocal, guitar, drums) and Greg (guitar). In 2015 they released their first EP "Craving for More". Over the years their style morphed from rock with a nostalgic feeling to slightly more aggressive sound, which got the band noticed by the local indie rock lovers, fans of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Dead Weather and The Kills. In 2019 the duo started incorporating electronics into their music, often using synthetic drums and bass. They showcased their new sound and aesthetic by releasing an indie rock single 'Stones'. The second (b-side) track on the record being heavier sounding one-take studio recording of 'Lady Fortune'. They also filmed their first music video for 'Stones': a walk through the woods at night (which starts out weird and gets even weirder) shot on a handheld camera. The latest release 'Good Side' is described by Vinyl Chapters like this: «Sexy, fuzzy guitar reminiscent of Jack White’s solo work cuts through the belly of the track as singer Maria’s strong but settled vocals have the competent swagger to break through the reverb and belt out lyrics of not giving a fuck. The track is perfectly juxtaposed with a slow and floaty section before a distorted and powerful guitar solo brings us back to the essence of the track. Rock ‘n’ roll in a nutshell.» In 2022 the duo changed their sound yet again, with the singer Maria taking on drumming. Currently Crimson Brooks are based in Israel and are making a garage rock album.
