South African born and raised, from the East Rand of the Gauteng province. Thando Madi, also known as 'TNDO', is a Record Producer, qualified Sound Engineer, DJ and Visual Artist. He creates music containing elements of Amapiano, Deep House, Afro Tech and Hip Hop. His main "sound" or genre of focus being "Amapiano", which is a subgenre of House Music that pairs airy synth pads, bright piano melodies, and low-tempo rhythms with elements of Jazz, Lounge, and Deep House, mainly taking its inspirations from Kwaito music. This fast growing subgenre has spread all over the world, bringing South African music and dance culture to the foreground.
