He started doing k-pop music mashups through his YouTube channel, and now wants to show the world his own sound. Instead of using Gabriel as an artist name, he decided to use benstronaut, a mix of Benjamin, his meant-to-be name and nickname, with astronaut. On 2020, the song "To Be Continued", produced by benstronaut, was released on a collab album, along with ZSunder and other artists. It was the most famous song of the album, reaching more than 400k streams. Also it was the first time benstronaut appeared officially on streaming plataforms as a producer. After that, he released his single "Only You" on 2022. This track, featuring an amazing vocalist and composer called Picassio, was the first track that features benstronaut's singing voice.
