www.arturtuznik.com Artur Tuznik is an award-winning Polish piano player and composer based in Copenhagen (DK) since 2008, active on European scene for jazz and improvised music both as a bandleader and sideman. He engages into stilistics from between worlds of classical and jazz music, being known for his daring approach to combine achievements of earlier music with modern understanding of songforms and instrumentarium. After moving to Denmark, Tuznik made his recording debut in 2011 with his “Licak/Tuznik Quintet”, released on the Danish label BlackOut, feat. Anders Mogensen on drums. Tuznik has since then been described as “unusually gifted improviser” and “brilliant soloist”. In 2016 he made his first trio release featuring Danish rhythm section of Nils Davidsen and Jakob Høyer - major figures on Scandinavian scene for improvised music. Album “Artur Tuznik TRIO” has been released by Multikulti label, followed by great reviews. The major Danish newspaper POLITIKEN placed it in TOP 5 Jazz Albums of 2017.
