Austin a.k.a. Maniac is a 27 year old rapper, a father of 1, and an audio engineer. Maniac grew up in Hammond Louisiana until he was about the age of 13. Later on, he bounced around from Baton Rouge, LA, and New Orleans, LA, until the age of 23. He now lives in Phoenix, AZ, perusing music part time. Performing shows, as well as, mixing and mastering for other local artists. Maniacs style of hip-hop is that similar to Eminem's, but with a small southern twist to it. A little more gritty, I would say. He is often compared to Eminem due to the sound of his voice. In recent interviews, Maniac explains why he sounds the way he does. Maniac: "It's my natural voice. I can't help that. I get hated on for sounding like the top selling artist, but you don't see anyone hating on the next 100 rappers that all sound the same as the next guy. I think they're just scared of the next greatest thing since Em. So I'ma keep doin' me."
