Zy Da Shadow was born to a single mother in Pittsburgh, PA (Broadhead Manner projects to be exact). In the confines of such a fast paced environment, he was exposed to a lot of “hood sh!t” early in life. Drugs and constant warfare were very prevalent at that time on the westside of Pittsburgh, PA. His single mother who was addicted to drugs at the time still found a way to instill righteous principles like love, drive, and work ethic into her 3 boys. Along this path somehow Zy found a passion for poetry at a young age, which matured into music production and rapping. As ZyDaShadow grew into a man he started to frequent studios in various cities and elevate his craft, Zy has been able to work with T-Pain, Pimpin Ken, Project Pat, Stickio, Ruler Eternal, TreNarrco, ShotbyGotti, Boss Gotti, and more.
