Born and bred in Londoner, Toria Akin is a singer-songwriter with a distinctive vocal heavily influenced by Soul, R’n’B, Jazz and Gospel. Writing for years, she releases her debut single, Step By Step A self-taught ukulele player, when not amalgamating her sound with the talent of other live musicians, Toria is out playing acoustic sets. Her catalogue takes listeners on a melodic journey exploring a plethora of themes of self-love, defeat and ambition. Toria collaborated with Luton-based rapper, Lavz on Hip-Hop-Soul fusion track, In My Way, where she lends soulful vocals and expressive harmonies to punchy lyrical flow.
