Wahyo is a rapper/producer from Flint Michigan. Growing up my parents listened to mostly r&b and hip hop music. I got my first start in music in the 3rd grade when I joined the school band. My mother told me that the flute was the easiest instrument to learn so I began with that. (Later I would learn that I was misinformed lol). I enjoyed it and played it for most of the rest of elementary. Around the 6th grade is when I started writing raps. I began writing by biting a verse from Esham. Most of my friends wasn’t aware of him at the time so when I rapped his verse everybody was like surprised. That’s when I knew I had to learn how to rap. I started liking Bone Thugs at the time also. In middle school I continued to write and began playing the baritone. The likes of Mase and DMX was a heavy influence on me at this time. This was also around the time my parents divorced. In the 9th grade I was introduced to Fruity Loops by a guy named Cecil. I continued to write and learn the art of producing. In 2020 I put my 1st project out called “Class Of 85”.
