“Jacob, God must have been in a good mood to create you.” -Prince Jacob Armen’s music and vision has no labels or boundaries. You can hear it in his compositions and collaborations. Ranging styles from rock, jazz, metal, classical, folk, electronic, hip-hop, and world music, this seamless integration of genres are his true form of expression and freedom. It creates an undeniable sound, originality and unique identity that comes straight from Jacob’s heart and passion for rhythm and music. Jacob has been internationally recognized as a prodigy since 18-months old. Drummer, multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer, Jacob appeared on the “Tonight Show” when he was just 7 years old performing John Coltrane’s “Giant Steps” with a 20-piece jazz band. He later got signed to Prince’s NPG Label at age 10 and released his first solo album “Drum Fever” when he was 12 years old. Jacob has toured extensively and performed around the world in various countries. He’s also had several featured publications on People magazine and LA Times among others, and guest appearances on major TV networks from NBC, ABC, PBS and Disney. Aside from his solo appearances and recordings, Jacob also frequently performs with his band, Jacob Armen Band, and collaborates with his father Albert Armen, to whom he credits much of his musical success and his passion to create.
