Biography

El Saxofonista, a Peruvian-American artist born and raised in the state of Maryland. His love for music was introduced at home with a family that had an interest in music that was quite versatile: latin (salsa, merengue, bachata, reggaeton), rock, hip-hop/rap, funk, r&b, soul/jazz, to many more. Exposed to a widespread of different cultures, El Saxofonista knew he wanted to become a musician one day. He started off playing the clarinet in the 4th grade - surprisingly enough, he continued with that same instrument for almost 6 years until he made the switch to the alto saxophone and was invited to join the honor jazz ensemble at Seneca Valley High School. This is where El Saxofonista skyrocketed by playing in local cover bands, playing solo and busking through the DC area of Georgetown, and finally lifted off and making a career out of his music. El Saxofonista has gone through a series of changes in which he likes to call “seasons.” After playing music for some time, working in different venues, and going through an ongoing journey as a Christian man; he felt the Holy Spirit move inside him one weekend. This led him to the decision on becoming a Christian artist entirely and devoting his life and music solely to the Lord. He knew what a beautiful feeling it was to know that his gifts will be used to spread the Good News. Making his debut on July 31st with “Only One” ft Moon Dali and Ethan Silver, he hopes to shed some love to a world, that needs it more than ever.
