Born Seutloadi Ernest Molotsana on the 20th of August 1994 in Gumtree (a small farm town near Ficksburg), Koete Sekhukhuni is an artist who invests all his energy and love into creating only the finest and authentic African sounds for your listening pleasure and inspiration. In my latest single, I went back in time and borrowed from the sounds of O'Yaba and Matshikos. "Mo rate" is a song against Gender-Based-Violence. I sing purely in Sesotho, because I believe this beautiful language has a special role to play in growing our creative economy and inspiring young artists, encouraging them to excel in their craft while staying to themselves and who they are.
