Mike Randy is a singer-songwriter, producer from Jackson Mississippi.  He moved to Los Angeles to pursue music after a stint in the US NAVY. Mike is inspired by the indie-rock and mainstream pop sounds of the mid-2000’s. He's combined these elements with traditional hip-hop production techniques to develop his own style which he calls “vintage-electronic." BATTERIES NOT INCLUDED is the debut project from Mike Randy. It was carefully crafted over three years and is packed with subtle bangers.  Batteries... is a unique reflection of Mike's life story. The EP does a great job at showcasing all of his talents as a songwriter, producer, and vocalist. What Mike has created is not traditional R&B, its progressive soul music for the homies. The project features rapper/producer Lil Torin, Decarlo Tatum Jr. and Damane OG of Rebel Forest, New Orleans own Nesby Phips and Actor/MC Mel Bowser and frequent collaborator Jalarion Reid.
