Soprano Saxophone: Vittorio Quinquennale Alto Saxophone: Fabio Sullutrone Tenor Saxophone: Enzo Spizzuoco Baritone Saxophone: Giuseppe Moscato “I have known very well the musicians of the Kansax Quartet since they were born as a group. They have an extraordinary talent and artistic sense. They are always in search of a new repertory but they propose transcriptions and traditional works, whitch lets them show the saxophone in all its facets. They are dynamic, enthusist and always in search of beauty by an innovative soul. I wish the Kansax Quartet all the possible success. With all my admiration and my affection” Jean-Yves Fourmeau (from CD “Rodeando” booklet) A kaleidoscope through which to read the history of music; but also one open window on contemporaneity. These are the ideas that have always inspired the activity of the Kansax Quartet. The great versatility of the saxophone allows this ensemble to have a vast repertoire made up of both transcriptions that range from the Baroque period to the music of the twentieth century and the original literature for saxophone quartet, without neglecting collaboration with contemporary composers. Each concert of the Kansax Quartet therefore represents a musical journey capable of transporting listeners from the sparkling eighteenth century atmospheres of J.S.Bach and Vivaldi to the rarefied harmonic palettes of Debussy or Ravel , to end in the rhythm of the tango by Astor Piazzola, or jazz by Chick Corea.
