Takalani Tshivhase, known as Solace, is a 22-year-old South African native studying in California U.S.A, while simultaneously pursuing a career in the music industry. His main forms of musical expression are songwriting, singing and playing guitar. Solace could never hide his love for music, which began to develop at an early stage of his adolescence, often landing him in trouble at school. Solace is constantly developing and working on new sonic approaches to his music in order to push beyond what many deem desirable and acceptable. Drawing inspiration from a plethora of producers, artists and genres ranging from Justin Timberlake to Masego, to the likes of Jack Harlow and genres such as Afrobeat, Soul and Folk, Solace finds himself creating music flavored by seemingly incoherent sources.
