Alejandro Bustamante-Martinez, better known as Currents, has not only worked alongside but been mentored by some of the biggest names in house music. With years of experience under his belt, this San Diego native has proven to be a powerhouse in the music industry. In 2019, Currents made his mark with his debut single "Disco Nights," which was released on Junior Sanchez's iconic house imprint, Brobot Records. The following year, he won the 'Too Many Rules' remix contest, which caught the attention of label head Javi Bora. Soon after, his remix of Javi Bora's "Ella Quiere Gozar" landed an official release on the label. In 2023, Currents earned a coveted slot at the flagship CRSSD Festival, where he shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Purple Disco Machine, Eats Everything, Seth Troxler, Tom & Collins, and more. With over 15 releases under his belt, Currents' music has seen rotations on major radio station outlets such as; BBC Radio 1, Dash Radio, KIIS-FM, and KCRW. His tracks have also caught the attention of heavyweights like Jamie Jones, Blond:ish, Sam Divine, Fatboy Slim, Derrick Carter, Benny Benassi, Mark Farina, Carlo Lio, Fedde Le Grand, Demuir, and Defected Records founder Simon Dunmore. As a DJ and producer, Currents has done it all, and his knowledge of the scene is second to none. Armed with an impressive arsenal of original tracks, collaborations, and remixes, he's ready to make waves like never before.
