Rupert is a composer and producer based in London. He writes music for film, television, theatre and games, and releases records as a solo artist and as half of Smagghe & Cross As a solo artist he released the albums 'Music for Three Plays' and 'Smart Shoes' featuring C.A.R., David Wilson and 1403. He has also released the E.P.'s 'RUCA' and 'Holding Down Court' featuring C.A.R., all on the Besant Hall label. He regularly collaborates with Ivan Smagghe [Kill The DJ/ Les Disques De La Mort] on albums, EP’s, singles and remixes. Smagghe & Cross have released the albums ‘Ma’ and '1819' on Offen Music, ‘Timothy Dalton’ on Idle Press Records, and the EP’s ‘Talking to Katz’ on Ransom Note records and ‘Mmmmmmm’ on Huntley + Palmers. He has composed original music for the Donmar Warehouse’s production of ‘Faith Healer’ and 'Limehouse', The Almeida Theatre's production of ‘The Treatment’ as well as Kenneth Branagh’s production of ‘Hamlet’, The RSC's 'Macbeth' and the Theatre Royal Haymarket's 'Frozen'.
