Rob Lewis is an Emmy nominated, English composer, producer, and cellist known for his unique compositions created in one take using a cello, effects, and a loop pedal, all manipulated using expression pedals. His second album, "98," was released in 2020 following the critically acclaimed album "Momentum" released in 2018. Both albums have received airtime on Radio 6 with support from Mary Anne Hobbs, Tom Ravenscroft, and Tom Robinson. Rob's dynamic compositions are written with the idea of mixing them completely live, resulting in no track ever sounding the same twice. As a composer, Rob has worked on a variety of high-profile projects for TV, scoring numerous films and documentaries, as well as collaborating with SBTRKT, Noel Gallagher, and David Holmes. In 2018, Rob performed his debut album at Kew Gardens' newly refurbished Temperate House as part of Cirque Bijou's "Harmonic." He also performed "Momentum" at WOMAD Festival. In 2019, Lewis was commissioned by Google to compose a 60-minute soundtrack as part of an installation in Los Angeles. This work was released as his second album "98" in February 2020. In April 2022, he premiered "Tideway Tunnel To Tide," a composition created using sounds from the Tideway Tunnelling Construction process, as a live-streamed event. The work was subsequently released as a single in connection with the Thames Tideway Tunnel project.
