Joaquín Chacón is a benchmark of the Jazz guitar scene in Spain, since the late 80,s. Active in the international circuit, he has toured festivals, clubs, and concert halls, in Europe, Africa, Asia, and America, with his own projects, and accompanying relevant figures from te international Jazz scene, such as: Jim Snidero, Bobby Floyd, Mike Richmond, Billy Hart, Al Foster, Kevin hays, Keith Copeland, Uffe Markussen, Ben Styvers, Pedro Ruy Blas, Perico Sambeat, Jorge Pardo, Judy Niemack, Dave Liebman, Richie Cole, Doug Raney, Kirk Macdonald, Benm Besiakov, , Ole Jacob Hystad, and a long, etc. A prolific composer, he has recorded 15 CD,s, with original material, as well as having collaborated in more than thirty other artist´ record works. Dedicated also to the pedagogy of Jazz since the 90,s, he is currently a profesor of the Jazz department of MUSIKENE. He is a pioneer in the elaboration of texts related to the teaching of Jazz in Spanish, having published two didactic books, the series of note books "IMPROVISATION NOTEBOOKS", and a series of didactic videos on Jazz guitar and improvisation "JAZZ MASTER CLASS".
