Biography

Roberto “Bobo” Facchinetti. Drums. Born in Verona, Italy, 1955. He studied with the famous italian teacher Enrico Lucchini, and played with several artists including Carlo Atti, Danilo Memoli, Paolo birro, Bruno Marini, Nicola Stilo, Stefano Benini, Dino Piana, Butch Morris, Reggie Workman, Ruud Brink, Gianni Basso, Carmelo Leotta, Palle Daniellson, Irio De Paula, Massimo Salvagnini, Massimo Faraò, Aldo Zunino, Marcello Tonolo, Nicola Barbon, Danilo Gallo, Sonny Fortune, Beppe Castellani, Shawnn Monteiro, Luca Begonia, Cesare Mecca, Davide Palladin, Archie Shepp, and others. He played at jazz festivals and in concerts with Butch Morris Orchestra, Andrea Sorgini trio, Stefano Benini quintet, Bill Smith, Sonny Fortune, Archie Shepp. He also played pop music with Bobby Solo, songs with the songwriter Marco Ongaro, electric blues with the guitarist Andy Haze, gospel music with Animula Gospel Singers, brasilian music with the singers Patricia De Assis and Daria Toffali, jazz pop with the trumpeters Phil Harper and Giampaolo Casati, latin jazz with the percussionist Ernesttico. He attended the clinics of Barry Harris, Mike Stern, Jimmy Cobb, Bobby Durham, Byron Landham.
