Born into the Liverpool rave scene of the early 90s, House music was imprinted into Tekla’s creative make-up. He was schooled from an early age in the mechanics of programming and sampling. From then it was only a matter of time before Tekla himself developed his own distinctive vibe for the underground dance floors. House, with a foundation of Techno and a heavy emphasis on rhythm is the best way of articulating his own sound into words. With releases on Cuff, Dirtybird, Houseology and Mr. Nice Guy Records to name a few, Tekla has gained support and praise from some of the scenes most respected names. 
 Tekla transfers his diverse influences and his love for rhythm and drums into his DJ sets. With his direct approach and feel for energy, Tekla has taken his sound to some of the UK's best parties with appearances at Cuff's residency in Ibiza.
