Columbus rap duo Moron Bro$ decided to make rap in 2017, but as brothers, the two were already well acquainted. LBJ and Lil Raza grew up together, young Latinos in the hood. However, their music initially went down different paths. Lil Raza was in a few punk rock bands, inspired by Black Flag, Misfits, and The Dead Milkmen. Whereas, LBJ (aka The Gulag Trap) produced and rapped, and took a lot of inspiration from artists like $uicideboy$ and Jung Lov. 
 In 2020 the Moron Bro$ decided to start taking music more serious with local Columbus artist Reno614 and founded a record label with him. After working with multiple groups such as Serenity and RILLA GVNG the Moron Bro$ duo have continued to do what they love, make music and help local artists gain some traction.
