Absent Chronicles is a Netherlands based producer, writer and audiovisual artist. Inspired by genre-defying artists like xxyyxx, Moderat and X&G, he started developing his sound in 2019. Resulting in an ever-evolving blend of styles and genres topped with a layer of grainy sound design, as demonstrated in the cinematic piece Prodigal (Remix) , hyperpop-meets-electro track Barefoot (featured on Netflix Original - Young Royals) and electro-rock track Out of Time, in collaboration with POULISH KID. In 2021 Absent Chronicles signed a worldwide publishing deal with Concord Music Publishing, solidifying the expansion of his portfolio writing for other artists. In 2023 Absent Chronicles contributed to the album "Layover" of BTS member V, co-producing the second track on the album: Blue. The album debuted #2 on the Billboard 200 charts with "Blue" entering the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. US in the same week. In 2024 the album won an iHeart Radio Award for Favorite Debut Album. In 2024 Absent Chronicles released his debut album What you've won I've lost on Sans Huile de Palme. In the meanwhile Absent Chronicles' music, sound design and installations have appeared at various museums, festivals, events and TV placements around the globe.
