20-year-old Tom De Beuckelaer is regarded as the leading young pianist of his generation in Belgium, amassing impressive achievements since a young age. He began performing in public since age six and appeared with orchestra in Belgium at age 12, playing Mozart Concerto No. 20 in D minor, K. 466 and made his debut with the Mozarteum Student Orchestra performing Chopin’s Concerto No.1 in E minor. An accomplished pianist, Tom holds the title of six 1st prizes. They are: the 21st “International Fryderyck Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth”. (Poland) 2013; the 9th International Chopin Golden-ring Piano Competition (Slovenia) 2013; Prinses Christina Concours south-1 in “S-Hertogenborsch” (The Netherlands) 2014; 8th International Rosario Marciano Piano Competition (Austria) 2016; the 7th Steinway Piano Competition (Belgium) 2017; and the 21st International Music Competition “Pietro Argento” (Italy) 2018. Notable awards include 2nd prize in the 47th International Competition Virtuosi per Musica di Pianoforte (Czech Republic) 2014; 3rd prize in the 3rd International Piano Competition “Villa de Xabia” (Spain) 2015; and 4th prize in the 1st International Rachmaninoff Piano Competition (Russia) 2018. Tom travels extensively and has given recitals in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Poland and China. He has also performed in master classes by Wojciech Świtała, Elisso Virsaladze, Andras Schiff, Jacques Rouvier, Anna Malikowa, Ewa Poblocka, and Arie Vardi.
