Biography

Shorne Shandon Callahan (born October 05, 1985) better known by his stage name 2SC (Super Shorne Callahan) is a Trinidadian-American record producer and artist based in Tampa, Florida. Born in Kokomo, Indiana and raised in the small town of Lake Placid, Florida, 2SC has had a passion for music since his earliest childhood memory. He was introduced to playing the drums at his uncle's church at the age of seven. The drums saw him through high school, during which time he advanced his expertise in music, and they remained with him through his college years. Passionate about sharpening his craft, 2SC sought out additional assistance from a professor. Intrigued by his inquiry into chord progression, she introduced him to a colleague, who would later become his counterpart in the dynamic production duo formerly known as Bakaz Men. As an emerging pair, Bakaz Men produced a single for Yannique (YNIQ) Barker, otherwise known as Stacks, who provided expertise and insight on working with professionals in the music industry. In 2013, 2SC branched out, starting his own production company, 2SC Music. He began his solo career creating music for other independent artist, which allowed him to experiment with a range of genres such as soca, EDM, pop, hip-hop, jazz and many more. Driven by producers who had inspired him since childhood, such as Timbaland and Pharrell, he had aspired to create high-quality, timeless and uncommon compositions. He developed a signature style characterised by an assortment of genres, widely known as fusion, while crossing cultural lines. During his solo career, 2SC earned a notable reputation for his extraordinary musical arrangements but desired to be more than just a producer. He longed to create music to which people could relate, so he set out to do just that. 2SC began his evolution from a local small town producer to an artist. On October 7th, 2016, he released his debut album entitled “Master Builder.” This project included a selection of artists arranging music in their respective genres. It incorporated a variety of enticing music compositions, visceral lyrics and a stirring message. In October 2017, 2SC released his first collaborative EP with Hip-Hop artist Freeman entitled “October 1980 Somethin’”; a title inspired by both collaborators’ dates of birth. This project incorporated a blend of old school jazz, psychedelic vocal arrangements, and future bass synthesizers infused with a combination of fresh sounds. Together, 2SC and Freeman articulate a message of freedom and dreaming beyond the unknown and achieving impractical dreams despite adversities. This collaborative project has been 2SC’s most imaginative to date. 2SC is currently working with various artists nationwide. He is a visionary who is continuously using music to create a positive outlook on life rather than embracing the superficial customs that the music industry has developed. His goal is to renew and captivate the minds of his listeners as he continues to drive the culture of music in a positive direction.
