With fiery live sets & swirling sonics, Taleen & her band have quickly become a fixture of the L.A. music underground. When her band TÜLIPS went out with a bang at their final headline show at The Regent Theater in 2016, Kali went solo, touring the country with Ex Hex, Alice Bag, & Seth Bogart. “Soul Songs” was the debut 2018 EP produced by Kristin Kontrol (Dum Dum Girls) & mixed by Brad Laner (Medicine). Recorded at Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood, it received praise from Pitchfork, Stereogum, BUST, & L.A. Weekly. Taleen Kali's first full-length, "Flower Of Life," came out March 3, 2023 on Dum Dum Records. It was produced by The Smashing Pumpkins' Jeff Schroeder & Josiah Mazzaschi (Child Seat, Bizou, Light FM), & recorded at The Cave, home to albums by The Jesus and Mary Chain, IDLES, & members of Slowdive, The Smiths, Lush, The Kills, & Warpaint. The title track debuted as the album’s 1st single on KEXP & the final single, "Crusher," premiered on KCRW with heavy airplay by Henry Rollins. The band played 2 full U.S. tours to support the album.
