TAKESY is a Japanese LoFi beatmaker. He started his music career in 2017 with the intention of becoming a singer, and along the way he tried his hand at trackmaking. The global COVID-19 craze in December 2019 led him to LoFi HipHop as background music while working from home.He was instantly attracted to the style, and finally began producing LoFi / Chill beats in earnest in January 2022. His sound is influenced by Jazz, R&B and HipHop.Although he has always loved R&B and Jazz, his sound is more influenced by the LoFi beatmakers of today than by the music of yesteryear. He also studied under Japanese beatmaker KOHEI YOSHII and learned the basics of beatmaking from KOHEI. To date he has worked with labels such as Chill Moon Music, Etymology Records, Calm Waves Records, Lo-fi Clouds, Tsunami Sounds, Japanolofi Records.
