Karlk's breakout hit "What I Want," created in collaboration with the DJ duo OFENBACH, earned him millions of streams and charted globally. The track was later featured in a Google advertising campaign and even playlisted on the International Space Station by Thomas Pesquet ! :P A self-taught composer and multi-instrumentalist, Karlk was introduced to music at the age of seven. Turning away from formal music theory lessons, he taught himself to play guitar, drums, and piano, developing his skills through experimentation on Ableton Live. This self-taught approach has allowed Karlk to seamlessly blend world music and electronic genres, from Chill to Electro Pop, Folk and Deep House. Karlk's online success, with millions of streams to his name, has led to partnerships with major labels such as Universal Music, PIAS, and Times Records. He has performed at prominent European festivals like Lakedance and Transmusicales, solidifying his reputation as an electrifying live act. In 2017, he released his debut album, Crossroads, which included two global hits: “Daydreamer” and “Jeff.” Though Karlk has begun composing for film, TV, and video games in recent years, he is preparing to release a new EP “Silent Echoes” in 2024.
