Maryam Mirbagheri aka “MARYAMA” is an Iranian American composer, singer-songwriter and music producer currently residing in Los Angeles, California. Known for her unique sound and style, MARYAMA has been nominated for awards such as Hollywood Music In Media Awards and worked with figures such as James Franco, Deborah Lavine and GRAMMY award winners Scott Hull (Sting, Celine Dion etc), Marc Urselli (Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson etc) and many more. MARYAMA’s musical style is driven from a fusion of jazz, soul, Persian and classical music and inspired by endless number of artists. She has been the featured artist of the month in renowned publications such as GIRLTRIP, Muzik magazine, HuffingtonPost, DW Germany, POPDOSE, Obscure sounds, Girls underground, VENT Magazine, Celebrity cafe and many more. She is said to be one of Los Angeles’s most unique and up and coming acts and has been compared to the likes of Sade, Dido, Natalie Merchant, Lianne Lahavas and Adele. MARYAMA's debut album “Where The Mermaids Are” gained spectacular feedback making it one of the artist’s most critically acclaimed piece of work. Maryama currently releases singer-songwriter projects under the said stage name as well as film soundtracks and instrumental music using her full name Maryam Mirbagheri.
