Dream Club

Biography

Dream Club is a Los Angeles-based alternative rock quintet fronted by chameleonic vocalist/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Justin Warfield. The group play hook-laden, harmony-filled rock songs which reflect the sunny, laid-back nature of their California habitat, but with moments of tension. While Warfield's previous ventures have explored genres such as abstract hip-hop (My Field Trip to Planet 9), new wave (She Wants Revenge), and trip-hop (One Inch Punch), Dream Club is perhaps closest to his classic rock-influenced mid-'90s group the Justin Warfield Supernaut. Dream Club formed in 2013, when Warfield (vocals, guitars, keyboards) reunited with bassist Gianni Garofalo, a previous collaborator as part of One Inch Punch and the Justin Warfield Supernaut. The two immediately began writing songs, and soon a group was formed, rounded out by Warfield's wife Stefanie King-Warfield (vocals, percussion), guitarist Jamie Arentzen (American Hi-Fi), and drummer Justin "Dusty" Rocherolle (Green and Yellow TV). The group began playing shows throughout California, sometimes joined by keyboardist Gabe Cohen. Dream Club's self-titled debut full-length was released in 2017. ~ Paul Simpson, Rovi
