Having been raised on 2000's pop, video game soundtracks, and classical music, David Kim's music embodies the eclectic style in which he grew up. While sonically each track differs from the other, through its core, each of David's songs carry the main thread of his musical DNA: emotionally charged melodies that draw you in with ambient textures and atmosphere, wild fusions of musical styles that envelop his love for exploration of unconventional tastes, and cinematic soundscapes that make you feel like you stepped into a movie scene. 
 Based out of Los Angeles, California, David draws from his own personal journey and influences of his upbringing/culture with his faith being the center of the heart behind his music. 
 His recent release, "Awakening" is a Japanese rock song in the style of an anime theme song. The song blends together elements of symphonic metal and power metal with fast guitar solos, melodic emphasis, and heavy riffs. It makes the single vastly different from his debut album The Butterfly Island, an explorative concept piece consisting of classical fusion, orchestral, electronic, and experimental ambient styles.
