The new group and new brand of R&B features two original members from the multi-platinum selling group Ready For The World. Willie Triplett (singer, keyboardist, producer, writer) and Gerald Valentine (drummer, producer, writer) team up with new up and coming singer & guitarist David Lyve to form a sound that takes the listener on a wondrous lyrical ride through love, heart-break, accountability and outright sexual naughtiness while the music sustains a steady flow of Trap meets smooth R&B Soul meets Hip Hop beats meet EDM meets Neo Soul. The Group 2.0 believes R&B has just been diced into these separate styles of music so the goal is to mesh them into one project to show the world what R&B is truly capable of while still being a dominant force in music "When we cut our records back in the 80s with songs such as Oh Sheila, Love You Down, Digital Display and Tonight; we played and wrote what we felt. The musical influences of that era played a key role in how we formed our sound.
