One of the main keys of Ryota Miyake aka Sparrows’ oeuvre so far is travel. On a backdrop of international destinations are the artists he’s worked with, the hazy feeling of wandering freely, and influences that span time and space. Falling somewhere between 16-bit video game soundtracks and flighty Beta Band outtakes, Sparrows is constantly evolving to fit yet more of his life experiences into a few minutes of hallowed music. A whizz at summoning moods and atmospheres with his sounds, Miyake is also one-second of synth band CRYSTAL, and has been putting out collections of solo endeavours since 2013.
