Malin Broman is an acclaimed Swedish violinist known for her work as a soloist, chamber musician, and artistic director. She has performed with various ensembles and orchestras worldwide, receiving critical acclaim for her recordings and performances. Malin is currently the Artistic Director of the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra and a Professor of Viola at the Edsberg Institute of Music in Stockholm. In 2008 she was appointed concertmaster of the Swedish Radio Orchestra. Since then she has performed Brahms’ Double Concerto with Steven Isserlis conducted by Daniel Harding, received rave reviews for a her recording of Nielsen’s Violin Concerto and premiered several violin concerti written for her by Helen Grime, Daniel Börtz, Britta Byström, Andrea Tarrodi, Daniel Nelson and Jesper Nordin. She regularly directs the Swedish Radio Orchestra and is now in demand as a musical director/soloist. In that role she has appeared with orchestras such as Tapiola Sinfonietta, Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, ACO Collective (Australia), Nordic Chamber Orchestra and Tampere Symphony Orchestra and co-operated with artists such as Pekka Kuussisto, Janine Jansen and Peter Mattei. Other career highlights include winning prizes at international competitions, founding the Kungsbacka Chamber Music Festival, and being a founding member of the Kungsbacka Piano Trio. She is dedicated to sharing her expertise through teaching and mentorship.
