A father of 7 and husband of Tiffany Sheffield , Marcus was Born and raised in the heart of Detroit Michigan.He grew up not knowing who God was however he was surrounded by family members and friends who loved and adored him for who he was. As a child he grew up around alot of drug ,sex and violent activity.This ultimately shaped his view on life growing up.Though marred from this type of activity not to mention the death of his father,he grew a great love for music but was still empty,until a youth service was held at Straight Gate Church in Detroit.This is where he gave his life hope trust and soul to Jesus Christ and never was the same.The once marred young man was know restored to totality by the Spirit of Christ.He began writing music about Jesus, on how he saved him and how he was able to save others.With this intervention he dosent just use his music to glorify Christ but also his lifestyle .
