Audicid (pronounced AW-DIH-SID) is the artist name that Chris Howland first coined when he began making music as a teenager using a program called ACID. (The name Audicid is simply the words “audio” and “acid” blended together.) Although this juvenile artist name may be lesser-known, Howland can't seem to let go of his nostalgic first alias. Over twenty years after it’s conception, the pseudonym is still in use with a handful of releases slated for 2024. Initially dedicated to Electro and Progressive House, Audicid is now an outlet where Chris explores genres like Melodic House, Deep House, and various other sub-genres of electronic dance music.
