Steven McIntyre, born in 1975 in Münster, discovered his passion for music as a teenager at a British boarding school, where he immersed himself in various pop genres and electronic sounds. His journey into the music scene began in 1990 with an internship at the record shop King Music in Münster, which led to his first DJ experience. He quickly gained recognition, becoming resident DJ at the Cosmic Club and from then on travelling as Steve Stix. His first own events, with headliners like Miss Djax, Ilsa Gold, Steve Mason and Scooter, caused a sensation. In the late 90s and early 2000s, Steve's career blossomed as he performed alongside renowned DJs and opened his own record shop “Dundrum Records” in 1999, which was originally planned as record label. With residencies at Maria am Ostbahnhof in Berlin and Cosmic Club Münster, as well as founding Monopark events, he continued to create a stir in the electronic music, which had a major influence on the electronic music scene in northern/western Germany, especially for minimal and early melodic techno. He also worked as a freelance record critic for various dance magazines (Raveline, Groove …) and on the jury of the German Dance-Music Awards in 2000-2003. In 2013 he founded his own event and media agency, also dedicated himself to artist management and graphic design. His commitment to music production culminated in releases on renowned labels such as Traum Schallplatten and Stil vor Talent in 2023.
