By 2019, PlayaPhonk commenced his foray into crafting his own Phonk music, employing the software known as FL Studio. In November 2020, one of his compositions, "Phonky Town," caught the attention of a TikTok user and gained substantial popularity. PlayaPhonk made his entire musical repertoire available across multiple streaming platforms, resulting in a meteoric rise in his audience reach. In 2021, PlayaPhonk signed a contract with Arista New York, a subsidiary of Sony, and released a series of tracks that further solidified his artistic prowess. In June 2023, PlayaPhonk decided to reclaim his independence, charting a new path for his musical career. His cumulative streams on Spotify neared the remarkable milestone of 400 million Spotify Streams, as of June 2023.
