Kay’O is a songwriter and hip hop recording artist from Lynchburg, Virginia. Upon releasing his first Independent Album ‘The First 48’, he was featured in Hip Hop Weekly Indie Grind Spotlight which highlighted the song "Lane Switchin'”, this track along with 13 others on the album were produced by Dope Boi Beatz producer of "Don't” by Bryson Tiller. It was this album that won Kay’O the 2015 MALE ARTIST OF THE YEARaward presented by All-Star Mixtape Awards. Kay'O was born in California where he began learning the trades of the music business from his father during his adolescent years in Los Angeles. Eventually he would make the transition to Lynchburg with his family. Kay’O decided to take his knowledge of the music business as well as his talents of crafting his own music and released his first Independent album titled ‘The First 48’. During this time Kay'O established his own record label, Kay'O Musik LLC it was under this imprint he released his first official album.Currently Kay’O follows up with the EDM banger "Mind Blown" and the single “Teach You” featuring Quis Vandross which was featured as a HEATSEEKERS on HotNewHipHop.com has set the tone for the upcoming release ‘Everlasting Summer’ a 6 track EP that is highlighted by a remake of the classic “All Night Long” feat. Raheem DaVaughn, is set for release Nov. 29th. Kay’O is a force all on his own and is fearless in his creativity leaving open the possibilities for new endeavors and new sounds.
